ACCUTANE 20 is a retinoid utilized for managing severe acne. It contains Isotretinoin, which is a structural analogue of vitamin A. Due to its similar structure to vitamin A, it exhibits comparable therapeutic properties.
Always take ACCUTANE 20 with a full glass of water to avoid the capsule melting in your esophagus (food pipe) and causing irritation. Do not chew or suck on the capsule; swallow it as quickly as you can. Take ACCUTANE 20 with food or milk. Initially, your acne might appear to worsen, but it should eventually start to improve. To ensure that ACCUTANE 20 is not causing adverse effects, you may need to have your blood tested frequently. Liver function testing may also be required.
Avoid taking vitamin supplements that include vitamin A. It is also advisable to refrain from consuming alcohol and smoking during the course of this treatment. Older adults may be more prone to the medication's side effects.
ACCUTANE 20 is not suitable for individuals who have demonstrated hypersensitivity to it. Possible side effects include drowsiness, constipation, headache, dizziness, vomiting, diarrhea, and skin rashes.
